Too Busy? Take Care of Your Heart!

Hi, This is Steve Peterson with Fresh Start for All Nations.

Many times over the years, people have said to me, “Steve, I’m too busy.” Well, how do we live a full and fruitful life without being too busy?

Proverbs 4:23 says it all: “Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.”

We need to take care of our hearts. If we allow unforgiveness, unresolved issues, bitterness, anger to collect, it’ll continue to have an adverse effect on our hearts and, more importantly, it will hinder our relationship with Jesus and our ability to hear and discern His will. We’ll tend to be more driven instead of led. We’ll be motivated out of pride, anger, fear of rejection and guilt; instead of truly being able to discern God’s will. When we take care of our hearts, submitting to the sovereignty of God, giving thanks in all things and forgiving one another, we’re much more free to experience the fullness of life, hear His voice, and do His bidding!
