Hi, this is Steve Peterson with Fresh Start for All Nations.
Are you taking care of your heart?
Proverbs 4:23 says, “Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.”
“Above all else–” that gets my attention! “…guard your heart.” –Guard, as in, take care of; not building a wall to keep people out.
As I travel around the world, I’m discovering that there’s an epidemic of unforgiveness all around. So many are not living free from the effects of offense, hurt, and loss. So many, including leaders, have not been taking care of their hearts. What does it mean to take care of your heart? I am convinced the most essential thing we can do to take care of our heart is to embrace a lifestyle of forgiving others, even as Jesus has forgiven us. Above all else, take care of your heart. Are you taking care of your heart?
