Hi, this is Steve Peterson with Fresh Start for All Nations.
The Bible teaches us that we are to love one another; but what if I don’t feel like loving a particular person in my life? Does that mean that we just dutifully gut it out and make that kind of a choice, to love that person? That was the dilemma I was faced with in a particular relationship: I was loving by choice, but my heart was not in it. The Lord was so faithful to show me a better way. He brought to mind 1 John 4:16: “…and so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love, lives in God and God in him.”
Struggling to love someone in your life? Don’t just dutifully love by choice; love by faith!
