We are excited about what God is doing here in Palmer – and that we get to be a part of this ministry!

We are in our seventh season of Fresh Start here in Homer Alaska. It is a small community, and like most small communities we have our fair share individuals living out the hurts collected from life under the microscope. Christians are not immune to hurts, and hurts do not just go away with time. The good news is that there is freedom in Christ and He has made a pathway for victory. Fresh Start has been a wonderful tool to break down the bonds of mistrust and open the door to personal victories here. We look forward to the day when the ratio of hurting hearts is outweighed by the ones captivated by freedom and forgiveness.

Nathan & Lacey Steel are not only avid promoters of Fresh Start, but they have seen it’s affects first-hand in their marriage, family, and ministry. Since then, they have worked to see the opportunity for a Fresh Start, for Every Heart become a reality everywhere they go.

All Nations Family loves the Fresh Start principles, and we are using them in in several facets of our ministry.

Our Director of Training, Dr. Pam Arlund, feels so strongly about the benefits of Fresh Start that she has allocated a full day in our three week Church Planting Training to present it to our students. This is a benefit to them personally and as leaders on the field. Our pastoral care team is utilizing the six step ‘Processing the Issues of Your Heart’ regularly with our field workers during monthly calls and visits.

Recently Jo-Anne Doughty, from our pastoral care team, presented a full day of training on the six step process in Germany with German materials found on the Fresh Start website! Our outreach in that area is to a large refugee area of Hamburg consisting of 130 languages. They received a full day of training about this wonderful, biblical method of processing your hurts, losses and offences.

In the Netherlands a group of inner healing ministers gathered to hear about this simple yet powerful approach to helping others and helping them to help themselves. They are translating the materials into Dutch right now!!

And, they are asking for more! We know there is always more with the Lord!.

The beauty of Fresh Start is that it is a way of life. Whenever we talk to people, we can help them get through the process of Being Forgiven, Forgiving, and Free!

Because the principals of Fresh Start are rooted and grounded in the Word of God and He is the one actually doing the ministry, we are seeing the fruit of Fresh Start upon the neglected people groups of the earth and are commited to seeing more! We are so privileged to be in partnership with Fresh Start!

Pastor Ruth takes a Fresh Start to anyone in need! In 2004 Pastor Ruth began sharing Fresh Start on cassette tapes that she had received from Body Life Ministries in Omaha, Nebraska. As the “Bread Lady of Tulsa” she operated a provisions ministry with her husband Richard. Many were given bread, cleaning supplies and more. Included with every “provisions package” given were the Fresh Start tapes. After all, the Fresh Start central message of Forgiveness is truly a person’s greatest need!

Ever since that time, Pastor Ruth has taken the message of Fresh Start throughout Oklahoma and Mexico. And, just recently, Pastor Ruth took Fresh Start to Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, India. Pastor’s and Leader’s Conferences were held there to share the Fresh Start series and to train those in leadership to minister the transforming power of forgiveness!

Every time Pastor Ruth goes to a new Church or meets a pastor she introduces Fresh Start. So far, she has given away over 300 sets of the Freedom Series and she is still going strong!

Recently, she was invited to help a newly formed Church. What does she think they need first and foremost? Fresh Start!

Pastor Ruth is compelled to take Fresh Start wherever she goes! She is convinced, “This is one series that I believe needs to be in every Church and every home, and I will do my best to see it get there!”

My goal is 200 countries – for the Glory of God!

We are convinced that it is NEVER TOO LATE for a Fresh Start!

Our marriage was in ruins and headed for divorce – but we both received a fresh start for our individual hearts, and that led to a fresh start for our marriage – and MUCH MORE.

Now, we love to give away what we have received and to convince others that they can be FORGIVEN, FORGIVING and FREE!

Fresh Start is a “tool” used by the Lord. It teaches you a way of living through the clear teaching and experience of forgiveness and results in healing for a wounded heart. It has been especially effective for those in leadership, helping them grow and truly express God’s Life.

I am very grateful for having experienced a fresh start myself, and I’m excited to see time after time the same effects of a fresh start in Mexican churches – especially among their leaders. Fresh Start has helped churches where division has occurred among leaders, and in many families where there has been much hurt.

My dream for Tijuana is for healthy leaders to build healthy ministries that transform cities!

Jesus and his wife Rosa reside in Tijuana, Mexico. He is a man of great influence who serves as a pastor, counselor, and is a former President of the Evangelical Alliance in Tijuana.

The Fresh Start for All Nations Team has come to Open Baptist Church in Gaborone, Botswana since 2009. They participate in the Face the Nation (FTN) School of Discipleship and have trained over 600 college age students to be peer educators and counselors to senior secondary school students. The FTN Volunteers advocate for abstinence and sexual purity before marriage.

Fresh Start Botswana developed after the Fresh Start for All Nations’ Leaders training in May 2013. It is involved in the following areas:

I am excited about what God is doing through Fresh Start in South Africa. The fire is spreading and the flames are getting brighter. In Kimberley, Processing the Issues of the Heart has been presented in the Kimberley prison. Nine ladies participated and Iris Bhika, who facilitated it is very excited by what God did through it. Vincent Bhika is currently facilitating Processing the Issues of the Heart in the men’s section, with twelve participants.

In Cape Town training is happening at Living Hope, with ten employees who are Support Group Facilitators in three different communities. These support groups are primarily for the elderly and people living with chronic illnesses. They are receiving exposure and training to Processing the Issues of the Heart, Exposing Denial and Trauma. They hope to take Fresh Start to their support groups in the near future.

The first small group for Processing the Issues of the Heart has started at King of Kings Baptist Church. There are four participants and these ladies are slowly learning to face their issues of hurt, offense and loss in the safety and vulnerability of a small group. People from the church who have had a Fresh Start experience are being asked to come and share their stories with the small group to encourage them and give perspective to the process.

The Big Issue is a non profit organisation that produces a magazine that is sold at traffic lights around the city by unemployed people, thereby providing an income and dignity to these people. Living Hope has opportunity once a month to hold a skills workshop for those who sell The Big Issue. Three staff members of Living Hope are presenting Fresh Start at these workshops to an audience of about 50 people.

It is a privilege to see God working that people are FORGIVEN, FORGIVING and FREE!

Zambia, over the last four decades, has experienced much change in the relational landscape among both the rich and the poor. This change has not spared the church. Relationships in families and in communities are facing very difficult situations: divorce, sexual abuse, anger and unforgiveness. This has given way to many people being demonized and in spiritual bondage.

Therefore, the establishment of Fresh Start Zambia is a recognition of the fact that there is an epidemic of unforgiveness all around our nation today, and many are in need of a fresh start, both Christians and non-Christians.

VISION

Our vision is to raise up a new generation of men, women, and young people who will be able to change the destiny of their world through a lifestyle of resolving the effects offenses, hurts, and losses through the transforming power of forgiveness in Christ Jesus, and therefore becoming free to be who they were created to be!

GOALS

At the Fresh Start Training Seminar in May of this year (2011), we as participants were relieved from our pain and frustration as a result of unforgiveness in our hearts. As the seminar progressed, we experienced the unpacking of our burdens before the Lord, which led to forgiving people and institutions that had inflicted pain in our lives and relationships. Among those forgiven were: employers, uncles, husbands, wives, friends and neighbors and many others!

Having been equipped as a Fresh Start Leadership Team, we intend to visit various parts of Zambia and equip both young people and adults to experience a life-style of Processing The Issues of Your Heart — a forgiven, forgiving and free life!

Our desire is for married couples, families, churches and communities to experience transformation through the power of forgiveness and freedom in Christ for the Glory of God!
