Can someone who has not been forgiven by Jesus really forgive someone else?
Hi, I’m Steve Peterson with Fresh Start for All Nations.
This is a very important question. How can we give away what we haven’t received? –is really the key perspective here. If we haven’t experienced God’s forgiveness and the significance of it–realizing we didn’t deserve it (nobody does); realizing it’s grace, we don’t deserve it. How can we give away what we haven’t received?
Even the Bible addresses this in Ephesians 4:32, where it says, “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”
How can we forgive if we haven’t been forgiven? It cost Jesus everything so we don’t have to go to the cross, He did. It’s worth it all as we humble ourselves.
